Last year in the World Championships in Glasgow, Sindhu and Okuhara had taken the court against each other and nobody knew that it will turn out to be one of best women’s singles match ever.
For an hour and 50 minutes, the two toiled at the court throwing everything they had in them to win the match.
The chair umpire had a tough time asking the two to stay on the court as both kept trying to take rest in the final game. Even a lot of spectators joked that they were tired by just looking at the amount of energy the two had spent on the court.
Yet the rallies kept getting longer, they even had a 75-shot rally that marvelled one and all.
In the end, Okuhara had just a little bit more in her than the Indian and she trumped Sindhu 22-20 in the final game to become the World Champion.
