PM Modi: Opposition unity is about dynasties, not development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an interview to news agency ANI, slammed the idea of Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) saying that it was all about dynasties and not development.

PM Modi also made a snide remark by saying, “the only question is whether they will break up before the election or after?”

The prime minister further spoke about PDP-BJP coalition, spate of crimes against women in the country, and the employment created by the NDA government in the last one year.

“More than 1 crore jobs have been created in the last year alone, thus the campaign that jobs have not been created must come to a halt,” said Modi while speaking to news agency ANI in New Delhi.

PM Modi also ruled out the possibility of the removal of caste-based reservation. “Reservation is here to stay. Let there be no doubt about it,” said PM Modi.

Talking about increasing crime against women and incidents of lynching, PM Modi said that his party has been clearly speaking against such cases.

Terming such incidents unfortunate, PM Modi said, “Everyone should rise above politics to ensure peace and unity in our society.”

PM Modi also targeted Congress president Rahul Gandhi during the interview. “The Congress President tried his best to provoke people against GST during Gujarat elections, why did the people reject him?” said PM Modi.

On the BJP-PDP alliance, PM Modi said that after the death of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed there were hurdles in the fulfilling the expectations of the people and that is why without casting an aspersions the BJP opted out of power.

In yet another attack on the Opposition, PM Modi reiterated that he is a humble ‘Kamdaar’and who is nothing compared to the ‘Naamdaars’ of the country.

“I am a humble Kaamdaar. I am nothing compared to the Naamdaars of this country, who have their own unique style of conducting themselves. They decide whom to hate, when to hate and whom to ‘love’ and how to make a show of it. In all this, what can a Kamdaar like me say?”
